Past...
Student leadership has always been a large part of my life. I was always involved in student government, everything from being on the Mayor's Youth Council, the Congressional Youth Advisory Committee, Student Council, and Class President. However, what got it started for me was the American Red Cross. Coming into high school, my high school did not have an American Red Cross and I wanted to impact my high school in a positive manner. Thus, before my freshman year of high school I did all the research I needed to know what I needed to do to start my own chapter at my high school. From there, leadership in different organizations changed me as a person..
American Red Cross
The American Red Cross was a blessing to me in high school. I was president of the organization for all four years and helped grow the organization to over 300 members and one of the largest in the state of Texas. This process taught me a lot of lessons. Moreover, I had the opportunity of working on some amazing projects.
1) Renting out a movie theater and playing a movie for a fundraiser!
2) Hosting the Amazing Race, Red Cross style (and much smaller!) in our town center
3) Working with the local hospitals and non-profits
4) AND many others!

Frosh Council
This was my opportunity to get involved in college! I knew I wanted to do engage in student leadership and I ran to be the Frosh Council rep for my dorm. It has been nothing short of amazing, and I've met an incredible group of people from across campus! People who are passionate about leadership and the great Class of 2017!
